Battle of Britain ‘Challenge 80’ – Update

Message from the Branch Treasurer.

Update at 27 October 2020

Despite Covid restrictions it was discovered the people of Crook are very supportive and rallied around to help our Wings Appeal Challenge. We now have the final figures in.

£800 raised from Phil’s 80 laps around Crook Market Place. This was a mixture of donations from members and the public, sponsorship from members and Just Giving donations. Additional money will be able to be claimed by the RAF Association under the Gift Aid scheme.

£103 from sale of Battle of Britain Ducks

£63.72 profit from the Spirit Draw

Grand Total £966.72

This will be forwarded to the RAF Association with other monies raised throughout the year.

A massive thank you to Phil for planning and carrying out his wonderful achievement and to members and the public who support us.

Branch Treasurer

Phil Chinery. Branch Standard Bearer
